The President of South Africa addressed the nation on the 23rd March 2020 to announce a 21 day lockdown of our Country in terms of the Disaster Management Act to curtail the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Our Company has taken a stance that due to our industry falling under critical services during the lockdown that we will be operating on limited skeleton staff only on a standby basis, and will be able to assist with essential emergency pest control services during this period, along with emergency microbial ULV fogging treatments.

Any emergency pest control work that may be required for industries operating in the essential services categories during the national lockdown will be prioritised and assisted by our standby teams. Our number 011 444 1033 will operate with an emergency service option to select from.

By abiding by the announcement, and as certain service offerings we provide may fall part of the chain in essential services to critical service delivery sites such as hospitals, supermarkets, food supply chain services etc, we need to ensure all safety precautions are taken and the prevention and spread of the Corona Virus remains the objective to us, we therefore need to ensure we do not undermine the objective of the lockdown, that is the prevention of the transmission of the virus, and to mitigate any of this risk to our clients and colleagues.

The President of South Africa addressed the nation on the 15^th March 2020 to announce wide-ranging measures to curtail the spread of the COVID-19 virus. A few measures imposed is the closure of schools, institutions and the like as well as travel restrictions to certain Countries from Wednesday 18^th March 2020.  High emphasis was placed on everyone undertaking and committing to observe and ensuring that personal hygiene is upheld in preventing the spread of the virus, such as washing hands thoroughly and sanitizing hands when no water and soap is available.

Our Company has taken a stance that we are committed in ensuring that our staff and our clients interest and protection are paramount, not only with the COVID 19 virus in mind, but at the same time, we need to ensure the continuation of our services to mitigate the risk of pest infestation to your premises, which too is a health and safety concern.

To this end, our staff will be deployed with safety our top priority, therefore face masks, surgical gloves and the policy of not standing close to other people will be followed, along with sanitising our equipment and vehicles more frequently.

Where surgical gloves are worn, they will be disposed of after each visit to a site to prevent any risk of cross contamination and the spread of the virus from one premises to another.

Technicians will also regularly wash and sanitize their hands whether it be at a client’s premises and adhering to their health and safety criteria or by using our own supplied sanitizer to our technicians.

Any staff member under our Employee that does happen to fall sick or develop any flu like symptoms or start running a temperature or feeling unwell, will further be isolated and not allowed to be on duty at work as a precautionary measure.

We take the health and safety of all our clients and employees very seriously and we believe that observing and undertaking these precautions to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 at this time will allow our Business to continue to provide the top quality service to our clients that is required.

We will continue to monitor the situation and we shall communicate with all our clients and colleagues around any further strategies implemented by our Management team.
